Gen 3 and Gen 4 of a design system used across a 58-company conglomerate.

The problem was inconsistent UI across dozens of products. The solution was a robust grid and token system. I benchmarked multiple systems, sat with developers to understand the flexbox and grid trade-offs, and chose an approach that allowed teams to build any layout reliably.

The result was faster shipping without sacrificing quality. I also built a prototyping codebase so the whole team prototypes directly on our design system, rather than generic UI kits.

Bridging design and engineering means understanding the constraints of both.
